I contacted [James] for advice as to how Assurance Mapping techniques could be applied in my own authority. Not only were his ideas very constructive, his approach was very professional yet carried out in a friendly, easy going manner which greatly helped my understanding of the issues involved. James is always an engaging tutor. I came along with a view that I already had a fair knowledge about culture, I thought this training course would be a good way to supplement my knowledge and improve understanding. Well, improve understanding it did, but James did this by blowing away any pre-conceived ideas I had. James ensured we were all engaged, and through asking some really good questions about our experiences within the culture area, he was able to break down my assumptions and show me that my knowledge only just scratched the surface. This meant that by the end of the day, my ideas of culture had been completely broken down and then rebuilt.

In my view every aspect of this course was excellent. The content and style were GREAT. There was very good participation & James does an excellent job of encouraging and facilitating this but at the same time controlling it so that that it does not impinge on time management.
